Israel Policy Forum believes that a two-state solution to the conflict will "safeguard Israel’s security and future as a Jewish and democratic state."〔 IPF was originally created as an offshoot of the Israel Labor Party. It was co-founded in 1993 by Michael W. Sonnenfeldt, who served as chairman from 1997 to 2001.
